Hello friends! Spring is finally here, we’re out of these dreary winter days and I’m really enjoying the lighter evenings. I’ve loved how sunny it’s been recently – it’s really lifted my spirits!
Today I thought I would share my glowy spring makeup routine. I have to admit, I very rarely switch products, I always have the same brand/products on rotation throughout the seasons (I use a lot of Revolution products, as you will see!), I’m not very adventurous! I used to love a matte product a few years ago, but for the last few months I’ve enjoyed using more dewy, glowy products, hence why I put this little routine together, and it’s worked wonderfully for a dewy spring look!
As always, all products are cruelty free, and some are vegan!

My Glowy Spring Makeup Menu
First thing I do to start my glowy spring makeup, is apply my sunscreen (never forget sunscreen)!! It’s really important to protect your skin from the sun before starting your makeup.
In spring and summer, I’ve stopped wearing anything too heavy on my skin, to focus on my cheeks, chin and under eye areas with a concealer rather than go in with a foundation. I’ve been loving the NYX Bare With Me serum concealer recently. It’s lightweight but has enough coverage to hide blemishes and rosiness, it’s easy to apply and lasts all day. I’ve been using a beauty blender to blend it in for a more natural finish, and it’s worked a treat.
After concealer, I set my concealer with some powder. I use the loose Revolution Baking Powder in Translucent, I only use a tiny bit to set my under eye and the bridge of my nose. I’ve been using this powder for years (as you can see, I even have the old packaging for it!), it’s a trusty product for me, it sets makeup well for the whole day and a little goes a long way!
To finish off my face makeup, I apply some blusher to give some colour to my now pale cheeks. I’ve been loving using a liquid blush so far this spring rather than a powder, I find it much less drying and the finish on the skin is lovely. I’ve been using the Revolution Super Dewy Blusher in the shade Flushing For You. It’s a darker pink shade that blends it really well into the skin.

I never miss the brows step of my routine, but I also like to keep it very simple and I never shape or conceal brows. All I do is fill them in! Again, I go in with a Revolution product, the Duo Brow Pencil in Dark Brown. I used a pomade for the longest time, but I find a pencil much easier to use when I’m in a rush to get ready! It’s very pigmented and easy to use, so I keep repurchasing!
For my eyes, I will sometimes use a light brown eyeshadow all over the lid to give some colour. More often than not, I will just use a mascara to keep it natural. That’s the key of this glowy spring makeup: all on the face, barely anything on the eyes! At the moment I’m loving the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte. It’s a very intense black mascara, the wand is a fair size but I’ve never had any issues applying the product. I usually will do two coats for a better result, and curl my lashes beforehand too.
And to finish off my glowy spring makeup, I will apply a gloss for extra shine and that dewy spring look! I don’t usually apply it all over the lips, only in the centre and then use my finger to apply it outwards. It gives a more natural finish in my opinion! I will either use the NYX clear Fat Oil Lip Drip if all I want is shine, but for some colour I love the Revolution Baby Gloss in the shade Glam. It’s a soft baby pink, perfect for Spring!
And that concludes the menu for glowy spring makeup! Have you used these products before?
What is your makeup bag looking like this spring?

Great post! I love reading about different make-up and skincare routines, to give me ideas for the new season. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I hope this was helpful to you then!! x
Love that you called this a menu! So cute. I think when Spring / Summer rolls around I definitely like to get a bit more minimal with my make up and let my skin breathe. I usually just do eye-make up but no foundation. Just a little concealer and really go all in with the skincare 🙂
I would love to be able to just wear eye makeup, but I’m so insecure about how red my skin gets that I have to cover it up somehow, it’s sad! Just using concealer is actually a big step for me!! Thanks for stopping by! x
I love spring makeup trend. Thank you for sharing for sharing your tips with me.

I have heard positive reviews about NYX clear Fat Oil Drip. I am going to try it out.

I love the idea of having some glowing skin with an easy make-up routine; I want to try and simplify my look when I actually do wear make-up (which isn’t too often at the moment) and some of these products you’ve shared here sound like they could do just that!
Definitely do try these products if you’re looking to streamline and have a glowy makeup, they’re great! And let me know if you do! x
I would love to try the NYX concealer serum, it sounds great! x
