Spring is upon us! In two days, it’ll officially be spring and I genuinely couldn’t be happier. It feels as if we’re there already, I love how much sunshine we’ve had recently! It’s had such a big impact on my everyday mood!
After a couple of months off, I’m back! I’ve said this before but I have a full time job that is very, very time consuming, which comes before blogging, and it’s been absolute madness since January. I still managed to revamp my blog a little bit with a new theme, what do we think? I’m hoping to get back into a good routine now and post every week so, let’s see what happens!
For today’s post, I thought I would share 5 books that are on my reading list for Spring this year. I wrote a similar post last year and it’s one of my most popular posts – I love that people are as nosy as I am when it comes to books. I have seen these books everywhere, so I couldn’t not put them on my reading list for this season. Enjoy all my books for Spring!

The Little Paris Bookshop – Nina George
I’ve had my eyes on this book for a little while – and I finally bought it after hearing some good things about it. It very much says so in the title, but this is about a man running a bookshop in Paris on a barge, and this sounds like exactly like my sort of book! I’ve really been into light, sweet reads recently to break up my streak of fantasy books, and this sounds like the perfect read to me. It’s been translated from German so I hope it lives up to the original! And honestly, have you seen a prettier cover?
Purchase The Little Paris Bookshop
Red, White and Royal Blue – Casey McQuiston
How could I not decide to pick up this book after all the posts and videos on Instagram I’ve seen of people talking about it? I love any book that’s basically a rom-com and I haven’t read one in a while, so this seems like a great one to read. This follows the story of the romantic relationship between a British Prince, and the First Son of the United States. Intriguing! This will also be an introduction to LGBTQ+ literature for me which is exciting!
Purchase Red, White and Royal Blue
The Flatshare – Beth O’Leary
Yet another book recommended to me by a thousand (at least…) bookstagramers! I feel very late to the party with this one, I saw it everywhere last year but only decided to pick it up this year because someone was selling it on their story and I thought, why not! I thought the premise was really cool to be honest, two people sharing a home but one lives there during the day, the other during the night, and they’ve never met before. What could go wrong? This has feel-good romance written all over it and I’m here for it!

The Lighthouse Witches – C.J Cooks
I bought this book after one of my friends recommended it on Instagram, saying it was one of the best books she’d read in a while. It peaked my interest, and then I read the blurb and was hooked! A lighthouse, a witch hunt, a sister disappearing and being found years later… It’s a thriller/folklory type of book, and I’m really excited to read it! And honestly, how gorgeous is that cover? So dark and mysterious!
Purchase The Lighthouse Witches
Mrs England – Stacey Halls
And finally, I’ve got a book by Stacey Halls. I read her first two books when they came out and I loved them so much, that when I saw this one in Waterstones I just had to get it! This one is set in 1904, her two previous books were set in the 1600s and 1700s, so she’s definitely got a knack for historical fiction. This one is about a young nurse who starts working for a wealthy family, but it quickly transpires that something is wrong with the lady of the house. I can’t wait to dig into this book, having loved her previous two, it never takes me long to finish them!
